Borman Chinrest

This newly designed, specialized chinrest comes as a result of more than 25 years of
research and experience building violins and violas for some of the top performers in the world.
Although they appear similar to "standard" chinrests, they are not.

Many owners of my violins have loved the design so much they
have ordered them for their classical Italian violins as well.

Violins such as the "ex Plowden" Guarneri del Gesu 1735, the "ex Willmotte" Stradivari 1732,
the "ex Gariel" Stradivari 1717, the "ex Rabin" Guarneri del Gesu 1735,
and the "ex Titian" Stradivari 1715 are now fitted with this chinrest, to name but a few.

Most musicians report a significant increase in comfort,
as well as a noticeable improvement in sound.

Until now, these chinrests have been available only on my new violins, but
due to demand, I am offering them to the general public.

Current models in boxwood include Guarneri, Kaufman, Teka and Teka Low.
I can also provide Kreisler, High Kreisler, Hamburg, Strad, Ohrenform,
Vermeer, Hollywood, and Joachim models in boxwood upon request.
All models utilize titanium hardware, which is hypo-allergenic and lightweight.
Hardware is available in either titanium or gold finish.

It is the lowest profile hardware available from any source and is hypoallergenic.

Because these chinrests are so specialized, each is custom-made to order.

To place an order, send an email stating your preferred model; Guarneri, Kaufman, Teka, Teka Low, Kreisler, High Kreisler, Hamburg, Strad, Ohrenform, Vermeer, Hollywood, or Joachim (all models are offered only in boxwood). All models are shipped with titanium hardware.

You will also need to measure the distance from the top of the top plate to the top of the back plate and include in your email. See drawing to the right for example.
